Luxembourg Embassy celebrates Ralph “Dizzy” Diseviscourt’s 2nd place at the “Race across America”

On June 25, Ambassador Sylvie Lucas welcomed Ralph “Dizzy” Diseviscourt, who, last week, finished 2nd in one of the toughest ultra-cycling races in the world, the “Race across America” (RAAM), together with his team at the Embassy in Washington D.C..

The Luxembourg ultra-cyclist arrived on Friday, June 22, in Annapolis, Maryland, after being almost continuously on his bike for 9 days, 12 hours and 33 minutes, a physical and mental challenge that started in Oceanside, California, spanned 3000 miles, climbed 175,000 feet, crossed 12 States and finished at City Dock in Annapolis, Maryland. The route traveled west to east, traversing three major mountain ranges (Sierra, Rocky and Appalachian), crossed four of America’s longest rivers (Colorado, Mississippi, Missouri and Ohio) as well as the Great Plains.

After 2016, this was Ralph “Dizzy” Diseviscourt’s, an amateur racer, second participation in the “Race across America” ( ).
