As global businesses start to reconsider their international footprint in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, many are assessing the viability and attractiveness of different locations around the world. Employees’ skills and know-how are key elements of competitiveness, therefore recruitment of international talent is a strategic issue for companies. AIRINC, one of the leading authorities on international mobility, has published its 2021 Global Cities Index, which ranks 150 of the top global locations according to financial attractiveness, lifestyle attractiveness and overall attractiveness.
Luxembourg city scored 3rd in the ‘Overall Attractiveness’ category, after Zurich (1st) and Geneva (2nd) (both in Switzerland). The data is collected by AIRINC’s own in-house survey team, who continuously assess the global city rankings and cost-of-living rankings – standard of living in cities around the world, to evaluate international mobility.
