On Saturday, June 5th 2021, Ambassador Gaston Stronck attended Lux Fest, a celebration of the 150th anniversary since the arrival of the first Luxembourg settlers in Western Iowa. The festivities took place in Alton, Iowa.
The event was organized by the Luxembourg Heritage Society of Northwest Iowa. The mission of the Heritage Society is to preserve the contributions of Luxembourg settlers in the area and throughout the United States through genealogy, education and celebration of their achievements.
