Luxembourg financial center among the most international in the world

In its report on global financial centers, the think tank New Financial measures the relative scale of banking and finance in more than 60 markets worldwide across more than 40 metrics of domestic and international activity.

The report analyzes how international financial centers are based on those metrics, where able to compare international activity as a percentage of total activity. Luxembourg is one of the two most international financial centers, together with Singapore, with international business accounting for roughly 60% of all financial activity, followed by Hong Kong and the UK. Luxembourg also ranks in the top 5 when it comes to wider environment metrics such as the economic and business environment, quality of life, infrastructure and human capital.
