The Network of Spouses of the European Union Ambassadors based in Washington DC organized the first of a series of events within the initiative Sustainable Residences in Washington DC (SRW-DC) on April 7, 2021. The event was hosted by Ms. Monika Langer, Spouse of the Ambassador of Luxembourg and Ms. Phoebe Kapouano, Spouse of the Ambassador of the European Union and included a 3 mile walk in order to collect trash on Sugarloaf Mountain, MD and a fellowship over brunch.
About the SRW-DC
Sustainable Residences in Washington DC (SRW-DC) is a network of the spouses and partners of the EU Member State Ambassadors which aims at promoting sustainability and green practices within the diplomatic residences, such as recycling, use of green energy, rain water collection for irrigation, use of organic cleaning products and tree planting. The network welcomes like-minded ambassadors' spouses and partners from all over the world.
